The Giving Tree is a clothing closet located at James Monroe High School, where students can shop for items such as clothing, shoes, accessories, feminine hygiene products, socks, underwear, and toiletries. All items are either donated by community members or purchased through funds acquired from community donations. All items are free to the students who are in need. Studies show that lack of clothing is the number one reason given why children do not come to school. The Giving Tree’s mission is to alleviate this problem. 

Donations can be made at the JM front office anytime school is in session. Please know that only adult sizes are accepted for donations. Clothing donations can be new or used, but we ask all underclothes donations to be new.
