Good evening, Hugh Mercer Students and Families,
This is your principal, Mr. Snyder, with your weekly update for the upcoming week.
I am sending my message out an hour earlier tonight since it is possible that many of you will be watching the Super Bowl or enjoying the event with family and friends at 6:30pm this evening.
Come join us for our second Family Math Night on February 15th from 5pm to 7pm! If you are looking for ways to support or talk with your child(ren) about math or want to learn how you can feel more confident when looking at your child(ren)’s math lessons, please join us. Kids will be designing, building, and creating through fun and engaging activities in 2- and 3-dimensional geometry!
We will have eight hands-on stations for families to explore at their own pace. Each station has three different activity levels so every student can participate in creating projects to take home and go at their own pace.
The Hugh Mercer PTA is still conducting its Buddy Bracelet fundraiser. Information was included in your child(ren)’s folders, but you can also reach out to your child(ren)’s teacher to participate or to place an order. Orders will be delivered again on Wednesday, February 14th.
On Monday, February 19th, FCPS and Hugh Mercer will be closed in observance of the President’s Day holiday. Hugh Mercer and FCPS will reopen and follow their normal daily schedule on Tuesday, February 20th.
