Principal Snyder's Weekly Update

Good evening, Hugh Mercer Students and Families,

This is your principal, Mr. Snyder, with your weekly update for the upcoming week.

I hope everyone had a wonderful and restful Spring Break Holiday and that you found time to spend with those you value and cherish the most. We get to return to two uninterrupted weeks of school which is a great way to get back into the routines and expectations that help you with finding success at school and each day of the week.

This is an opportunity for those wishing to improve their school attendance to start fresh with routines and habits that make getting to school on time each day more and more likely and decrease absences that are unnecessary. To those that have worked to improve their attendance, stay focused and keep up the good habits you have created.

We resume our after-school academic support programs this week on Tuesday and Thursday as well as our after-school clubs on Wednesday.

The third quarter of school is now complete, and we start the fourth and final quarter of school on Monday. Report cards for quarter three will be sent home during the week of March 25 to 29.

On Thursday, March 21, the rescheduled first basketball game of the FCPS Family March Madness Tournament happens with Lafayette and JM/Pre-school playing each other at JM starting at 6pm. We will play our first game on Thursday, March 28.

As always, we are looking forward to another productive and positive week ahead. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. Your partnership is essential, and working together ensures the success of every Hugh Mercer student.

I hope you enjoy your evening and look forward to a wonderful week ahead.

Goodnight,

Mr. Snyder
