Good evening, Hugh Mercer Students and Families,
This is your principal, Mr. Snyder, with your weekly update for the upcoming week. We are down to the final two weeks of school with nine days of school happening during that time. As the school year nears its end, it's crucial to remind students about the importance of maintaining positive behavior. Excitement may be high, but our school rules remain unchanged.
Following school rules is essential for maintaining a safe and positive learning environment for all students. Please talk to your child about staying focused and following school rules. Disruptive behavior may result in consequences, such as exclusion from Field Day.
Thank you for your support in reinforcing these expectations at home.
A remainder that Monday, May 13, is now a student holiday, and students do not report to school that day.
May is Mental Health Awareness month. We are asking everyone to wear green to school on Tuesday, May 14.
The last nine days of school are full of events, so here are some important dates for you to mark and remember.
Monday, May 13 | No School (Teacher Workday) |
---|---|
Tuesday, May 14 | 5th Grade Visit to WGMS |
Wednesday, May 15 | 5th Grade Moving Up Ceremony |
Saturday, May 18 | Hugh Mercer Garden Celebration |
Monday, May 20 | Field Day |
Thursday, May 23 | JMHS Graduation Walk and Graduation Ceremony |
As always, we are looking forward to another productive and positive week ahead. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. Your partnership is essential, and working together ensures the success of every Hugh Mercer student.
I hope you enjoy your evening and look forward to a wonderful week ahead.
Goodnight,
Mr. Snyder
