
FlashBack Friday . We had some many amazing things happen during the month of April!!! We celebrate our amazing paraprofessionals and we also celebrated our wonderful Librarian. During this month we recognized The Military Child!! HMES loves sharing Patriot Spirit. Last but not least we celebrated 53 countries where our students have be born by wearing specific colors. Way to go HMES Patriots !!!











This week is National Public-School Volunteer Week. HMES honored our volunteers with a yummy luncheon !!! Thanks for all you do for our HMES Patriots.

First Grade was visited by the United States Pentagon Police Force. Officer Nation talked to all of the first graders about the Pentagon. Then he read a book called Officer Buckle and Gloria. Sergeant Austin surprised the first graders by bringing K9 Officer Honza.
We really enjoyed them coming to visit and bringing Honza and letting us pet him.

Tomorrow, April 19th from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at the Connection Resources Center, we will be celebrating our Games Around the World event! We want parents, guardians, staff, and students to come and play games, enjoy snacks, and gather school and community resources. See you then!





Fredericksburg Alliance For Student Achievement (FASA) created a sense of community with our students and their families.
Its annual SOL Kick-Celebration began on April 15 in various parts of our local community, including Hazel Hill and Heritage Park this year.
FASA aims to support FCPS students in preparing them for the upcoming SOL assessments by providing study materials they can complete at home with their parents.
The FCPS Mobil Cafe and Super Cat Bus are present, providing additional instructional resources and snacks for all FCPS K-8 students.
