Yesterday, December 11, 2024, James Monroe High School DECA students earned 43 medals and advanced to the state competition in Virginia Beach this March. Six additional students also qualified for a team event.
"Our DECA students embody the spirit of Learn, Lead, Compete & Discover," said Delia Clayton-Fulcher, division-wide CTE coordinator. "This monumental accomplishment reflects their unwavering hard work, passion, and dedication — along with the phenomenal support of their mentors."
Guided by DECA advisor Mrs. Dyer, the students excelled across all 21 career categories, continuing James Monroe’s tradition of excellence.
