This is Marcus Petty, Principal of James Monroe High School, with some important updates.
Report cards will be sent home on March 21st. Please take a moment to review them with your child. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the appropriate teacher.
The Senior Class will participate in the Ceili Leahy Senior Day of Service on Friday, April 4th. Please discuss your child's project with them and ensure any required permission slips are signed and returned before Spring Break.
Over the past few weeks, our performing arts ensembles have participated in their state assessments, and we are incredibly proud of their accomplishments!

🏀 Additionally, Congratulations to our Girls' Basketball Team! They earned State Championship Runner-Up honors this past weekend! You represented JMHS well, and we are so proud of you!

📚 Spring SOL Testing will begin after Spring Break. Here are some helpful tips to support your child’s success:
✔️ Ensure they get a good night’s sleep before test days.
✔️ Encourage them to eat a healthy breakfast.
✔️ Remind them to stay calm and take their time reading each question carefully.
✔️ Encourage regular review of class materials and practice tests.
✔️ Make sure they bring a fully charged laptop to school.
