This is Marcus Petty, Principal of James Monroe High School, with a few important announcements.
First and foremost, I would like to thank the JM Alumni Association, led by Mr. Lanford, for generously partnering with us to ensure that all students and staff received an orange JM T-shirt for Unity Day. I would also like to recognize Mrs. Laskowski, who led the effort to distribute more than 1,000 shirts. Unity Day was a success, thank you to everyone who helped make it possible!
We had lots of positive school spirit last week, and we want to keep that energy going! Here’s what’s planned for this week:
· Monday: Flannel Day
· Tuesday: Spooky PJ Day / Twin Day
· Wednesday: Y2K Day / Blackout
· Thursday: Costume Day (no masks, hoods, face coverings, fake weapons, or gore—school rules still apply)
· Friday: Superhero Day (for anti-bullying awareness)
