Good evening,
This Marcus Petty, Principal of James Monroe High School, with a few important announcements.
As we move further into the fourth quarter, attendance remains important. Every day counts as students prepare for upcoming SOLs, AP exams, and certification tests. Being present, on time, and engaged in class gives our students the best opportunity for success. Families, please continue to support strong attendance habits and ensure students come to school prepared and ready to learn each day.If you still need to pass an SOL to graduate in May, you are required to attend mandatory after school remediation Monday through Wednesday from 3:00 to 4:30 PM. Please make sure you report on time and come prepared. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Hamrouni.
The SCA Junior Class Officers are looking forward to hosting this year's prom, An Evening at the Oscars, on Saturday, May 6, from 8:00 to 11:00 PM at the Silk Mill in Downtown Fredericksburg. They can use their student ID number as their access code on GoFan to purchase tickets online. Guest forms are available in the front office.
In case you missed it, I have attached the JM April Newsletter. It contains important information, key dates, and details about upcoming senior events, including the Senior Awards Ceremony and graduation. Underclassmen families, please mark your calendars, May 14 is our Awards Ceremony date.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to the school.
