Good Evening Lafayette Families,
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and is gearing up for the final three days before the much-anticipated winter break. As we approach this festive time of the year, I have a few important updates to share with you.
This week will be a brief one, ending with an early dismissal on Wednesday, December 20th at 12:45 pm. To ensure a smooth transition, please make any necessary half-day transportation changes before Wednesday.
Upon our return from winter break, we have a unique opportunity to benefit our school and students. I encourage you to assist FCPS in applying for additional funds for federal connected students by completing an Impact Aid survey that will soon be sent home with your student. The surveys are due by January 15th. Your participation in this process is invaluable, and we sincerely appreciate your support in securing these additional funds for the betterment of our students. Lastly, this marks the final principal update of 2023. On behalf of the entire Lafayette family, I extend warm wishes for a safe and healthy winter break and a joyful New Year. May this holiday season be filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments with your loved ones.
