February 10-11: We’ve extended our carnations sale. Carnations are $3 each or 2 for $5. There will be a table outside the cafeteria during breakfast.
February 11: Fredericksburg City Schools Kindergarten Registration, from 5-7 PM

February 10-14: Kindness Week
Monday-Tuesday: Students will work with their teachers on color kindness quilts
Wednesday: Wear Neon Colors or Clothes with Kind Words to Brighten Someone’s Day
Thursday: Random Acts of Kindness Day (A kind note to a friend or adult, helping someone clean up, etc.)
Friday: The SCA invites everyone to join in for "All You Need is Love" Spirit DayStudents are encouraged to show their spirit by wearing pink, red, heart-themed accessories, or dressy attire. Let’s make it a fun and festive day filled with love and school spirit!

Upcoming Assessments:
February 3-28: WIDA Access Test
All English Language Learners (ELLs) in Virginia are required to take the WIDA ACCESS test annually to assess their English language proficiency. This assessment evaluates progress and proficiency in the four language domains: Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing.
If your student receives ELL services, they will participate in this important evaluation. Should you have any questions about the WIDA ACCESS test, please feel free to contact your student's ESOL teacher.
February 24-March 6: Quarter 3 Benchmark Assessments
The testing period for quarter 3 benchmarks for grades 2nd-5th.
